woven star flower quilt and more

I’ve been working on the woven stars flower quilt top

here are the blocks.

and yesterday I finished the top.

Again I’m regretting I didn’t add some solid white in there, looking at the picture right now the star blocks all melt together. I know that’s a “look” so I’m keeping it this way.

I also finished the backing for thing and a roll of binding. So it’s pretty much ready to quilt, just need to cut some batting for it.

I got my daughter Solveig to take a picture of me long arm quilting with Sonja in the baby carrier.

Here I held up the camera really high and snapped a picture 🙂

I finished this customer’s quilt but still have two pillow shams to make, might do it today, though my in laws are visiting so I need to tidy up and clean the bathrooms! ugh…

I quilted large modern looking flowers and leaves all over it in a light pink thread, I think it turned out really cute

Thursday morning I went to our local quilt guild meeting, it’s about 45 min away from me. I have some great friends there and this was the first meeting after the summer break and of course I had to show off my new little PINK addition too 🙂

Guess what happened on the way there?? I got rear ended at a red light! good think I have my big Toyota seqouia now, I got scratches on the bumper, but the car behind me got more scratched and a dented bumper too, we were all okay just had to wait to file a police report and all that, so of course I got late to the meeting. But it was worth it!!!

2 of my quilty friends had gifts for Sonja, and food for me too 🙂 THANKS!!

and look at these Booties….. they are so cute.

Sonja tried them on but they are a little bit too big still.

another quilty friend came over yesterday to finish quilting her 2nd quilt.
