Today is Worldwide Quilting day!
I was thinking about what to show on this day and then I figured I’d do a “review” of quilts I’ve done using Batiks from Island Batik!
I became an ambassador for them in March 2014 so 2yrs ago
and this was my first shipment.
I started of combining these with my monthly GO! challenge posts
(I still love using my accuquilt with these batiks!)
This was the first quilt I made
Then this one using the flowering snowball die
a mini quilt
Then an EPP quilt with hexagons
a hunter star quilt (using the GO die)
and a jacket I sent to my mom
another mini quilt
a Monkey Wrench quilt using the GO die that was in Fons and Porter
and a FPP quilt that was in Quilter’s newsletter
then some pincushions
some Christmas potholders
a DP and Go QUBE quilt on accuquilt’s blog
also a dress from their Rayon fabrics
a Plane quilt
a half hexagon quilt
another embroidered pincushion using Anita Goodesign’s garden CD
a purse pincushion
and projects I’m not quite done with
a blazing star quilt
and some applique!
I’m sure there’s more, but that’s good for now
Happy quilting day!
Oh… how about a giveaway? with the last shipment of batiks, I was given a pack of 5” WOF rolls (there’s 4 in each one)
let me know which roll you would like if you won (US only please)
roll one is a turquoise, grey,dk blue and black
roll two is turquoise, dark blue, purple and green
roll three is purple, red, black and green (fall-ish?)
roll 4 is red, white, green and black (more christmas-y)
You can’t go wrong with any of them!

Great projects using the batiks. Any roll. 24Tangent@gmail.com

What a lot of beautiful batik projects! You've used every scrap, too, it looks like. Love the pincushions and your mom's jacket. Lucky mom! Thanks for the offer of a fabric roll. I didn't even realize there was a giveaway! If I won, I'd Like either 1 or 4 … maybe 4 would be my favorite. Really any of them would get used around here. I'm definitely a batik lover!
