It’s World Photo day today
(at least I think so, I looked up these holidays quite a while ago and added to my calendar)
I don’t think I ever mentioned that when I grew up my dad was a wedding photographer and had his own development studio at home, he also did anniversary photos and confirmations etc. and his “special” thing was that he would take a picture of everyone at the party and important groups etc. then run home, develop one set of each photo, tape them to a big board and bring back to the party with order forms, so often people attending a wedding would order a picture of themselves all dressed up and a picture of the bride and groom and whatever else, of course there was a “wedding” package too, which was more of a scrapbook thing, it was a very neat concept. I often went along and was “dumped” in the kitchen of whatever Inn or restaurant and would hang out with the kids who lived there or the wait staff or the bartender who would give me coins to play whatever slot machine or gadget was there…. this was the 80s, it’s was wild times 🙂 LOL
Plus if my dad came home from one of these photo shoots and have a few pictures left on the film in his camera, he would snap some of me so the film was used up, I was the most photographed kid in town I think….ha ha
I have ONE pattern that’s sort of “photo” related is “Embroidery Frames”
It’s meant to showcase a 5″x7″ machine embroidered block or a bold fabric!
