I showed recently how I finished all the blocks for the Women of the bible quilt (patterns of faith)
I then added a black sashing with random colored corner stones
I cut them 2”, but first I had cut them all 1 1/2” strips, so I’ve used those wrong strips for something else
Then I added more 2” squares (finish at 1 1/2” so I used shape #2 from the 6” QUBE set) I cut out a gazillion squares, and even though I counted how many I somehow had cut out too many! Oh well…
and then a black border!
-don’t know if I showed that I appliqued shapes down in black thread on all the applique blocks!
Now I just need to quilt it, the whole thing measures 56” x 72”
I had originally planned on finishing this for the “scrappy” theme for Island Batik for December, but then I read that it was table toppers, so….anyways, they sent me the black batik to finish this and I cut out an orange print for the binding, so it’s all ready to be quilted!
That's absolutely gorgeous! Great job there girl.
Congratulations. Very cheerful colors.QuiltShopGalwww.quiltshopgal.com
It really is beautiful, Bea! The black makes the colors pop. I love it!
Beautiful quilt!! Great work.
Awesome! The black was an excellent choice for sashing. It really makes the blocks pop and the cornerstones also added a special touch. Beautiful.
Very nice. I like that it is bright, but, not too bright.
