Yay! It’s finally my turn to show my project for this blog hop hosted by Carol
When I signed up for this hop, I knew exactly what I wanted to do and what fabric I wanted to use!
A year ago for the FQ club I had a bundle of 6 FQs that included this cute bunny family in the snow and I had a few yards left of this fabric so I figured it was time to use it for this hop
Plus I wanted to use scraps and found that I had a lot of scraps of the bunny fabric too so I used those first and used my NEVER ENDING STORY PATTERN
Instead of using the 6″ QUBE, I used the 5″ QUBE just to see what would happen!
My other scraps were white PRINT (and I kept the prints to be either blue/green or grey or black on white, then white on white or solid white and beige/tan, so very muted colors.
I made a test block to see what it would look like and with the bunny fabric and the white print I also made sure it was right side UP on the print, so that took a bit of planning, but it wasn’t hard as those pieces are Quarter square triangles, so cutting up a square into that is already a set of 4, it’s just a matter of the placement in the block!
I made 30 blocks and some of the white prints are a bit LOUD but it’s ok.
I decided to just add a simple border with the bunny fabric, the top ended up being 31″ x 36″
Of course I had to quilt it with a snowflake design!!
I think the quilt ended up really cute!
and I had enough of the bunny fabric for both the binding and backing!
If you want to try the Never Ending Story pattern, I have it on sale this whole week HERE
