I figured I’d show some ideas on

what to do with block swaps

(or at least the ones I participated in) either way, maybe you can get inspired.

Now with this I used EQ7, gotta LOVE EQ!!!

First I showed you the RED and WHITE HST… all 96 of them!

here’s some EQ ideas for that.

Which one would you pick??? Now remember they are all different HST, but whatever extra fabric I need I will get from my stash or buy it.

Now these are from a Karolina color block swap, each measures 9″ when done.

So here’s my ideas

These were actually NOT from a swap, there’s 4 x 12″ blocks that I needle turn appliqued, it was part of a BOM online on a blog, have no idea which one now and I lost interest in it, I may have the paper work for 2 more blocks but that’s it, but again I don’t really want to work on them.

so here’s my ideas

This is also not a swap, but blocks from a bunch of FQs in red,white and black and also some asian flair, it was a pattern in a book (that WASN’T accurate, so I reduced the blocks etc and made them work) now lots of them are directional, so I wasn’t sure what to do, they are not directional with type on them but some are birds, some are a scallop or a fan sort of. there’s 36 blocks

Here’s a spring swap from last year, the colors were just SPRING, and oh boy, they are all SO different! honestly my 2 really stick out. there’s 12 total, but my two are UGLY… so I don’t know

Lastly a fall leaf block swap, that we did pretty recently! now the blocks are 12″ so they are HUGE and there’s 24! so that would be a big quilt if I used all of them or 2 medium if I split them up.

    What's the difference between the color block swap #4 and #5? I really like #3 there, but #5 with the corners like #3 would be cool too.Red-white: #2red/white/black: #3 maybe?Wow it is hard to decide which would be best!! Good luck!
