what a difference some cardboard makes!

it goes with the tune- what a difference a day makes……

anyways.

I am done with the mcCall’s quilt- #4

usually I make a label for my quilts, and I’ve been annoyed with my machine for a LONG time, the thread kept breaking- my fault for buying cheap chinese thread, but I gotta use it up!

The thread would also often untangle from the metal hook at the top and get all twisted and THEN break, today I was embroidering the label and I put my finger on top of the thread hook thingy and the thread didn’t BREAK! so I got the idea to cut a tiny piece of cardboard and tape it on, it WORKED!!! no problems at all!!

I am working on this customer quilt and should finish it this afternoon.

over the weekend I cut up the KONA solids for McCall’s #5 quilt- yummy colors

Yesterday the weather was around 72, so when we went to church I dressed Sonja up in a dress- one she’s never worn before and I figured it’s now or never, because she’s almost 3 months and when it gets warmer again she’ll be too big.

  1. Brilliant solution!!! Sonja looks so cute in her little dress. It sounds like it was the perfect day to dress her up.

  2. What a riot of color those solids make. Can't wait to see what they become!Sonja looks so sweet. Oh, aren't they fun at that age?
