The color of the month for soscrappy is Aqua, I think we did a turquoise or teal, so to me, it was too close so I don’t think I’ll follow that this month. But it did make me sort my blocks again and figure out more stuff to finish up with those blocks- which often happens when we’re close to month 9,10 or the end of the year because 9 blocks in a quilt is nice and 10 can work too if you have 10 of another block then a 20 block layout is 4×5! anyways….. I was looking at my Washington Puzzle blocks
I had 8 made in all solids with a lighter center block
I made another yellow, burgundy and peach
And then I figured I’d look at all my scrap bins and see what I could come up with for the solids and I found hunter green, light green, light brown, dark brown and grey and now I have 16 blocks!
The blocks are only 4″ and I don’t know if I just want to sew them together like this or have alternate blocks or keep going and make more solids (which might include duplicates)
If I do something like this with a 2″ sashing and a big chunky border (and maybe black binding) it would be 30″x 30″ I guess that would be ok??
Or should I keep going and do something else?
