Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange

Oh my gosh, I don’t know how to read!! I had this day as Wednesday but my day was supposed to be Monday! Sorry!

Yay it’s my turn for the last blog hop for the year and the last blog hop Carol and Joan will host 🙁

I do have my yearly book blog hop coming up in the new year but yeah, things have shifted about blog hops and blog readings etc. I’m not sure how things should be now, I guess on IG/ FB??

Anyways, I’ll first show my Christmas inspired quilt!

I “whipped” this together last week using the Accuquilt Priscilla die

And some Christmas scraps, it didn’t require much for just 4 blocks and after adding sashing and borders the quilt measures 22″ x 22″ so a cute table topper size.

I quilted it in white thread and used a snowflake design in QCT!

Now for the recipe section, I’m not going to share a cookie recipe and I’ve shared my Danish Layer Cake recipe so many times, if you still want it, look here

A NEW thing I tried to bake this year was a pecan pie for Thanksgiving and it turned out awesome!!

Here’s the recipe

  1. I’m sorry about all the confusion with dates. I’m glad you’re here, though! What a pretty little table topper…love the fabrics! Pecan pie is one of my favorites, so thanks for the recipe. We’ve had a good run with the blog hops and I’ve loved having you a part of them. Thanks, Bea! xo

  2. That’s a cute table topper! I really like those fabrics–really could be used any time of year. That cake looks so good–I saved the recipe when you shared it before and still need to make it. 🙂

  3. I love your panel the snowflake design is just perfect. I haven.t made a pecan pie is maybe 20 years. Don’t know why I stopped because I love them. So glad to hear yours turned out well.

  4. Oh your pie looks lovely. It’s sad that we’re at the end of these hops but perhaps someone will do an occasional one for fun. Your quilt is a very nice holiday quilt that feels so wintery. I can see that cuddling someone with a hot cup of cocoa topped with a marshmallow. Thanks for all your sharing through the years. I will miss this gang but hopefully we can all somewhat stay connected.

  5. That’s a cute table topper! I love the fabrics. Your danish cake always looks amazing. Thanks for hopping with us all these years. This is not goodbye, just see you later. I’ll be checking in from time to time. Let me know when you decide on your hop. I just might join in! wink wink. Have a wonderful holiday season.

  6. What a cute little Christmas quilt! The quilting is so pretty. Pecan pie is usually my choice on Thanksgiving too. I would probably be interested in your blog hop too; last time I had fun making a wall quilt from one of the books that languish on the bookshelf. Let me know!
