My all time favorite quilting book is probably “Barbello quilts with a twist”
I bought the book because I fell in love with the cover picture and I’ve made many version in the past of this pattern but it’s been several years.
So now I got it out and found yardage for it and started cutting strips!
This pattern uses 16 blocks like this
Then twisting and turning the center of the top looks like this
The pattern goes into the inner border a bit which is really cool I think.
The quilt measures 54″ x 54″
I quilted a design called “periwinkle” in a red thread
For the back I used scraps from the front after I used the green for binding and it worked out great!
I used my new mountain mist batting and it makes it nice an puffy, I really like it!
I might try to list this for sale or donate it, not sure yet.
Beautiful quilt Bea, I can see why that book is a favorite of yours!
