I had room for a silly blog post today and thought of Throwback Thursday and went as far back on my blog as I could,
there are MANY posts that are too old and the pictures are gone into Google picture La-la-land so nothing shows up on the posts anymore.
But I did find a few posts from 2010, one was from June and one from November but talked about the summer- you’ll see.
For the June 2010 post I showed a charm pack bag I had made (and still have it in a closet somewhere)
usually I use my bags so much that they have to get tossed but this one I haven’t used much at all, for me NOW it’s too big, maybe I had intended it as a diaper bag? I don’t know, but I remember it was a fun pattern.
The next thing I found was quite a flash back for me!
A quilt I made for my mom in 2010 when she turned 60! I had done a freezer paper method of her baby picture onto fabric and the fabrics in the quilt are all coffee themed! (I wonder if she still has this quilt? I’ll have to ask her, as OF COURSE she keeps everything I made for her)
I’m impressed with my fancy quilting on it, nowadays I’m too lazy and just let the machine do it.
I mentioned in the blog post that I took “the kids” with me to Denmark, we hadn’t even planned anymore kids at all but God had a different plan for us!
I had also brought fabric markers with me so guests could sign the signature blocks in the quilt and many did- I just never took a picture of it after that.
Some of you ask about my mom, she’s doing OK in Denmark, I don’t like that she was FORCED to take the covid shot, even after we had talked about the recalls in Europe back then etc. But because she has nurses and caretakers come to her house she HAD to have it or they wouldn’t come!
And now they have the vaccine passport too of course, DK was one of the first countries to start that, sigh… So my mom knows that I might not be able to come visit her for a long time (if at all!) that really SUCKS!
