I finished this funky string quilt recently.
It measures 44″ x 56″
I started this in July after I was looking thru patterns on my computer and I saw this string method where you kept the foundation fabric and just market that fabric a certain way and sewed strings to it, I used my GO dies to trim the squares.
Then I sewed the blocks together like this
and then I put the top together in a 3×4 grid like this
The yellow base fabric some the “frost” collection from Michael Miller, they had sent that as extra one time in one of my boxes, I think for another project which I had already finished by then so here I calculated the leftovers to use for a border and binding.
I quilted it with a double heart design from qct5
it was really bulky in the corners!
I put a bunch of teal/blue and yellow scraps together for the backing
a fun “free quilt”
I have used that method, it’s fun isn’t it. Love the teals.
Very nice! I love anything in teals. This would be a good quick project for me.
It’s a lovely quilt. Beautiful colours you used.
Nice quilt!
