Looking at Maureen’s blog yesterday and still thinking about that tangerine is the new 2012 color
(which I don’t like, I just don’ta like orange)
anyways, I was looking at her blog and a FQ bundle she made with the orange, aqua/ turqouise, grey and black, it looked GREAT!
so of course I wanted to play more in EQ, so here’s some ideas.
I started with a star chain block and then a snowball block and alternated those, made a strippy border.
Then I changed teh colors.
and added a nine patch instead of the snowball block.
omitted almost all the black and changed some colors around a little
what about this funky block instead- forgot what it’s called
now I replaced a diamond in a square block with the nine patch, uhh that looks cool
then colored the bands to line up I guess like a twisted ribbon and just a touch of black.
all simple blocks, and if I made this I might just make a pinwheel block and then applique the black square on top.
which one is your favorite?
what fun with EQ!! I LOVE the first one, second runner up for me is the "funky block" one 🙂 Great virtual quilts!
That's not easy…but I like 2 & 3 a lot! =) How fun to be able to make them up to see in advance!
