swap blocks, mug rugs and Bible BOW

Yesterday was a nice day to catch up on STUFF.

I have a few swap blocks I needed to make and some mug rugs

Here’s november’s wonky blocks

wonky Christmas stars, I ended up having the points match in the corners 🙂

the 2nd block was similar but confusing directions, so I pretty much went by the pictures of the finished block and not so much the step by step, though I followed the cutting directions, so I hope it’s okay, it seems to be..

December’s wonky blocks where these wonky log cabins in fun bright colors.

You could make the LOGS as wonky as you wanted



One “new” think I learned was after each step I have to trim them down to wonky a certain size, so she suggested taping pieces of paper together and cut a square out in that size and use that as a template. How clever!!

These are the last of this swap, kind of sad 🙁 it’s been so much fun!

I quilted 3 more, but the binding is not done yet, for my kids teachers. so I’ll work on those in the car. (car line at school or on the way to church when DH drives- you didn’t think I was THAT talented?? driving AND quilting?? LOL)

Potiphar’s wife (Joeseph’s coat)

another “personal” passage, who needs romantic trash novels when you can read THIS in the bible??lol

Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers and the new owner was potiphar, God Blessed everything Joseph did, so potiphar’s house was prosperous too.

I’m guessing his wife got jealous of joseph that all the attention from her husband was now on Joseph, so one day she wanted him to sleep with her and he said no, she took his coat and then at night told her husband that Joseph tried to rape her!

can you imagine?? what a …….woman!

so with my fabric choices, you know I’m working thru my pile of sunshine fabrics from CT, I had 5 left of the pile so I’ve been thru it all now, so I figured, that his coat WAS many colors, so why not use all 5?? I really dis-like this check in there but I used it for the square pieces so it turned out okay.
