Suzie Sundress top and bubble shorts

I tweeted about these fabrics arriving last week from Connecting threads, I had plans for the florals and the brown then added a small layer cake because I liked it and to make it over $50 for free shipping

Sonja had picked out the top purple floral for a dress when she saw pictures online and I picked the blues for Anja but figured I’d mix and match and once the fabrics got here there was too much green on the top right one so Sonja changed her mind, but good thing I got 2yds of each

I picked the susie sun dress by peek a boo patterns

and then bubble shorts for Anja too

I even tried a new foot on my machine (well one I never used before) a blind hem foot! my friend Laura had told me about it and I sort of remembered what she said so I experimented and it worked like a charm!! it sewed a tiny double folded hem and stitched it down perfectly

So back to Biltmore- of course I planned ahead and wanted the girls to wear their outfits there and take pictures in the gardens.

In the tulip garden it was tricky with Anja
