I’m not at all into sports and my husband isn’t either.
BUT we do want our kids to at least KNOW about football and the superbowl.
I have planned a hexie- super bowl sew in, but the TV will still be on and we’ll make home made pizza like we did last year.
Here’s a few pics of the hexies I’ve made so far
It’s hard to tell how big they are on the design wall, but they are 3″ on each side.
Now I just have these 2 designs so far, but tomorrow I should get more CLUB sets (I’m getting 2)
I don’t know WHAT I’ll make with these….
any ideas?
I’ve seen pillows, bags, hexies turned into squares, hexies appliqued onto blocks.
Here’s a fun blue one.
I should mention again that the fabrics are SCRAPS from a Riley Blake quilt for Mccall’s I’m finishing up- will also hand sew the binding on it tonight!
Here’s 2 more
AND I didn’t show these- I forgot them in the kitchen….
but Michele sent me this pattern- out of the blue! she thought it had my name written all over it with all the owls…. it’s SO cute, I do plan on doing SOMETHING with it- one day.
THANKS Michele!!
Here’s some funnies again from facebook and other places.
I LOVE this one- as I’m only 5ft tall. I said TALL not short 🙂

Beautiful hexies! I made that owl quilt for my first grand daughter. It's so cute!
Beautiful hexies. Any chance you'd share a tutorial on this, or any advice? I'd love to learn to make them. Yours are beautiful.I also love the Hoots Owl quilt design and have it on my wish list to make. So cute. Sounds like you had a wonderful day and found a great way to spend time on Superbowl Sunday.SewCalGalwww.sewcalgal.blogspot.com

Lots of fun for you and you are so welcome. Me? I've got a nasty cold and got nothing accomplished yesterday. Oh well. There will always be another day.
