I just couldn’t help myself and ordered this String Frenzy book by Bonnie Hunter, then after skimming thru it and wanting to make everyone in there, I was also reading blogs and saw that the RSC19 color was red I wanted to make something and I found this block, it was totally NOT supposed to be just one color, but many colors and neutral, but I had fun with this and used pretty much all GO dies (can’t tell you which of course, as you NEED to buy the book!) but the block is 10.5” and it’s just happy!
I’ll keep doing grey strings on the corners and white prints but the red will change every month!
I also finished a top with blocks from last year’s color of the month, but I’ll show those later
(I think I have an affiliate Amazon link on my site somewhere if you click and order I get a small commission)
A great block! I'm also thinking of making one every week or so. My first red blocks were for another project, you'll see. I hope that at the end of the year I will have at least 40 blocks from different colours.
Your block is an eye catcher. Nice colors!
Fabulous block!
That block looks great. I love the pieced middle with strings at the corners.
I love this block Bea. It looks very pretty with the red pieced section.

Love it
Lovely RED block!! Great use of your new book. I'll be looking forward to seeing the RSC quilt that you've put together, too!
Beautiful, Bea. You are never idle!
I've seen others working on those Sand Castle blocks. Must be one of the fav quilts in the book. I like your variation.
