I recently finished this on-point Storm at sea quilt all cut out with the storm at sea die by accuquilt
It was one I designed in EQ8 first and then started cutting, the teal/turquoise fabric is actually two fabrics and then I added the light green.
I added the borders afterwards and I think I cut the binding first and even figured out how much backing fabric I needed.
The top ended up being 38″ x 38″
It’s hard to see the quilting design but that’s ok
I ended up having to piece the backing from the two turquoise fabrics
I used a few of the scraps and brown scraps and made a purse pincushion and you can get it in my shop now
I love storm at sea. I have the die but have been stalling about using it because it looks so complicated. Now I’m inspired and will have to try it!
One of these days, I’m going to make a storm at sea. I don’t have the die though.
I really love your Storm at sea quilt. I have to try it one day. But I have no cutter. It might be possible to make without it too.
I cut and sewed some Storm at Sea blocks and haven’t finished them. Love yours. Maybe I need to get mine into EQ8?
I hadn’t thought about putting Storm at Sea on point, but the results are quite stunning! great job!
