I finished another persian star block, so I think I have 3 or 4 left now, only 2 weeks (well a bit more since I’m the hostess)
Meanwhile Sonja got BIG yellow bear from her brother. sniff sniff, he’s too big for bear now… He also gave her his other yellow bear which was his favorite….
I made this block/mini quilt, it was a pattern I bought a long time ago, fusible raw edge applique, it’s supposed to be mounted on canvas, but I think I’ll just trim it and quilt and bind it.
From leftover Yenter fabrics I made this bowl quickly, then ran out of the cording
I finally finished this UFO too, a boxes quilt.
I thought I had made up the pattern but then saw a similar one in a magazine the other day, so I guess I had copied it by looking at the picture.
These were the FIRST ozark/ hillbilly fabrics I ever bought from Tonya!
I quilted circles all over the middle using plastic templates, which was kind of a pain. But it looks neat
Straight lines on the outer border and a chain of stars on the inner border
and a scrappy backing, since the way I cut the pieces out, I ended up with 6 of each block type, two of them only needed 5 so I used the last two on the back.
Here’s more detail of the circles on the back
and the borders too
And I finished the farm animals embroidery, I have a plan to make it into a purse or bag, we’ll see.
I really don’t get much long arm quilting done, I have 2 left to be quilted of my own, I haven’t had any customer quilts in months! but seems to work since SOMEONE is keeping me busy busy, so I can only sew, where I stop and go often, where long arm quilting I like to do at least one whole row before stopping.
Sonja is walking all over the place!!
these cabinets are in my studio, part of a “wet bar” in this bonus room.

The star block is really pretty. I also like the fabric bowl. It's so hard to come up with original ideas anymore as it seems like everything has been made before…somewhere.

Your star block is really beautiful! The picture of Sonja with the big bear is so sweet. It looks like the bear is kissing her head.
