Last week this package arrived from Warm and Natural.
Around Christmas time I had won a crib sized batting from them on FB and kind of forgot about it and was thinking it was just warm and natural I’d get.
So when I opened this and saw this poly batting I was kind of nervous, as I haven’t quilted on poly in years, I’m too spoiled by their cotton batting
But I figured I’d try it, as I had a quilt top that would fit it and needed to be done soon anyways.
This is for an Island Batik Blog hop in February btw- just a bit of a sneak peek!
I put the batting on the frame, or rather just laid it down, it was so thick I didn’t want to add it to my rollers and risk stretching it too much.
This stuff is THICK!
It took a bit getting to quilting on it, but I must say I really LIKE how “bubbly” the texture of the quilt is now, and it’s so light.
If I ever come by this on sale, I might get it again
Just wait and see the finished quilt next month!
Here’s big sister Sonja sharing her “share bear – care bear” with Anja
Awww Sonja is so sweet ..kisses x
Congratulations on your win. Glad to hear you like this batting.QuiltShopGalwww.quiltshopgal.com
I have not tried this batting with it being so thick I do not think it would work for hand quilting or even on a small machine. Lovely photo of your girls the bear is nearly as big as Anja!
I can't wait to see your quilt Bea! I tried some poly batting last year for quilts for my granddaughters and loved it.
