I’m really trying to finish up unfinished projects before the end of the year or also just because my space where I hang tops ready to quilt is getting packed, so time to clear out some things!
I finished another RSC16 quilt
SNOWBALL fight!
where I used the snowball die and 2 1/2” square accuquilt dies and did a crumb snowball block and did 3 snowballs and 3 nine patch blocks in each color.
The quilt is 42” x 60” and I’ll have a pattern written for it soon too.
I quilted my usual curves on the main part of the blocks and then lots of snowballs on the border
I found another stitch on my sewing machine under the quilting category and I really like this one too, here it is on the front- I stopped right by the outer edge….
and this is from the back, looks pretty good!
(the binding is all scrappy too btw, I raided my binding scrap bin and made binding from anything purple
and again the backing is scrappy, here I did any “ugly” whites…
and I machine embroidered the label with a snowwoman on a scrap of the backing fabric that was also wintry.
I’m very happy how this turned out
oh, do any of you want to listen to my testimony?
it was hard to condense to just 5 min and also be able to share at church on Christmas Eve…(there’s a lot more “bad” stuff)
anyway if you go here, I’m at the 30min mark
Another beautiful finished quilt! It's such a great feeling to get projects completed and off your to do list.
You're inspiring me to try the RSC challenge again! Lovely quilt, Bea
Cute quilt Bea and love the label!
Awesome testimony…thank u for sharing.
looks great! and it's such a satisfying feeling to get some of our fabrics out of our stash, and into a completed quilt!
Such a cute quilt! I’ve always loved Snowballs and Nine-patches! Great finish; thanks for sharing!
That's a great way of using up the little scraps laying around. Love it. Congratulations on this cute finish. Happy New Year! ;^)
Snowball fight is awesome. Love the quilting you did on it and congrats on the finish.
Nice job on finishing up another RSC quilt!! You had a REALLY productive year. Wishing you a Scrappy New Year!!
Snowball fight. I love it! What a fun way to have all those random scraps play nicely together. The border treatment is perfect.
Way to go!
Getting another one finished and off the UFO list in always a good thing.
