Simple quilt

Remember I mentioned a lady at our church who wanted me to add a name to an antique quilt?

Then she asked me to put together a quilt out of squares already cut and she sent me a picture and everything was already there, so I said SURE…

So she brought a box with everything and told me to text her grand daughter about quotes and layouts etc.

I got the blocks out of the box and they were all pinned together so I figured that’s the WAY she wanted, plus each block had a label on it and maybe referenced a children’s book, I took this picture and unpinned everything and put the labels on a sheet of paper for them to keep.

It’s a bit odd to deal with someone over text, but I designed something in EQ and sent her ideas and quotes (imagine the borders are WHITE but I did it to show a contrast on a phone picture)

She picked just a simple border

Then I put it on the frame and text her a ton of pictures of long arm designs!

and she picked a paisley design

The quilt ended up being 48″ x 68″

In the box was this beige striped fabric- a ton of it! which I used for the back- we agreed on solid white for the border and binding.

I hope they are all happy with it 🙂
