I’ve posted a bit already about my scrappy shoo fly quilt in the works, but it’s been almost a month, so here’s a bit more to show 🙂
I’ve shown these before, they are TINY shoo fly blocks which I cut out with the 4″ QUBE set, they finish 3″ (3 1/2″) and my rule is DARK blue and Yellow, but the I’m pretty loose about the rules, it just shouldn’t be dusty blue and no light blue- AND if either print is TOO MUCH or directional I skip it from my scrap bin.
So I sat down the other day and came up with a plan for this, if I put 4 of the mini blocks together they would finish 6″ then I can make alternate shoo fly blocks with the 8″ QUBE and they should also finish at 6″!
I recently bought this fun bee print fabric and I had JUST enough for both the large blocks and borders!
Maybe I should name it a Shoo Bee Quilt ?
I’ll work on these between other projects, but I tend to grab enough for several blocks between stuff so I’m sure it’ll be done soon 🙂
