secret long arm quilting

I can finally show this quilt that I quilted in early November!

A local church has a quilt guild and they made this cross quilt for one of their members in secret and asked me to long arm quilt it.

(and to not blog about it until after Mid November)

a local printed even printed a picture of the church and they added that to the quilt.

This was a tricky one as I had to change thread colors and do a light brown on the browns and a light grey on the grey background

– after taking this picture I found that I forgot to quilt the bottom of the center brown part, so I put it back on the frame and did that!

On the brows I did a tight tree vein sort of quilting design, more like a flame actually but it works!

I really like how lots of people signed these signature blocks!

The recipient is the church’s pianist if I remember correctly, so the backing was all sheet music!

I did leaves around the border.

I met a few ladies when I did the craft show and they said they liked my work, I was hesitant to say anything because I didn’t know if it would be the recipient standing right there, so didn’t want to reveal the secret!

I’m sure it’s safe to blog about it now Winking smile
