I figured it’s time to show my scrap blocks I’ve shown before here
I had looked at my quilt books and printed out what qube dies I needed for each block.
I got lots of comments about WHAT dies I used and then to show more pics, so here they are 🙂 Now all of the blocks I made with the 4in qube sets, except the blue and brown block on the print out but I haven’t cut enough to even make them yet, so I’ll just show the other 4 and of course you can use any qube set you want with the same dies.
Here’s the grandpa’s buttons- I think that’s the name and it’s in the civil war book on the right.
The block is made from die #2, #3 and #5 and mine finish at 4in, I chose to use any scraps for the main color (2 of shape #3 and 4 of #5) and then a beige background (2 of #2, #3 and 4 of #5)
I might arrange them in the rainbow colors or any of these below, we’ll see.
Then for these shoofly blocks, I used yellow and cut 1 of #2 and 4 of #5, then in dark blue I cut 4 of #2 and #5 and they finish 3″
Here’s mini bowties, I used 11.1 and 11.2 and #2 and these blocks finish 2″ TINY TINY!! Now should I sew 4 together into a circle in the same color group?
or some of these?
Then these box of chocolate blocks which finish 4″ and white is cut with #1, then 2 each of 2 colors of #2 and #8, I didn’t really have a rule about dark or light.
Not sure if I’ll sashing or not.
I’m going to try something I haven’t done in years, and that’s a linky tools linkup! I did one when I was on blogger but now I’m on wordpress, so let’s see if it works, if you have many any of these mini blocks, try to enter your blog address (or maybe there’s a way to JUST upload a picture??) well, we’ll see what happens 🙂
