RSC19 blocks and EPP flowers

I’ve been sewing on RSC19 blocks in between other projects and if you know me, I can’t just stop at one thing!

I recently got a new Bonnie hunter book so as I was skimming thru it, I thought I could make some fun rainbow blocks for the RSC19 blocks and then I just couldn’t stop!

The top two blocks are from the book and the spider web block is an adaptation of one of the blocks in the book, of course I used Accuquilt dies as much as possible, so they were used in all the blocks at least partially in the blocks!

January’s color of the month for RSC19 was red!

the spider web block is all accuquilt!

I also made this red and black pineapple quilt with the accuquilt die!

Here I finished the February color too which is yellow

and the spider web block in yellow too!

Do you notice that I sort of “flipped” the block? usually you have the spiderweb in the center of the block but I have the kite shapes in the middle, so it should be a fun quilt at the end!

As I was sorting bins of projects and moving stuff around (still) I found this EPP hexagon flower project that I’ve had since 2012! I remember it being one of my first EPP projects- hence no plan and no direction for these flowers!

So I hung it up and then drew it out in EQ8 to get a “plan” and the pink flowers are extras I need to make of completed hexagon flowers, which was 12! so I cut out the fabrics with an Accuquilt die and I already had tons of cardstock hexies.

I glued these and sewed some during the most BORING superbowl ever!

We’re not sports people at all but we try to watch the superbowl at least, but this time it was soooooo boring! lowest winning score ever too, half time show and commercials weren’t good either….

well at least I got to sew 😉

I just wanted to add some cutie pie pics in here too 🙂

All of your blocks are just gorgeous Bea! I have always liked Spider Web blocks and have wanted to make a quilt, but something else got my attention so I haven't started making one yet.

Beautiful blocks Bea, I always love making string blocks too!

Great blocks. I sewed during the Superbowl, and only paused to watch the commercials. Nothing worth watching between the commercials.
