RSC16 brown blocks

I’ve been busy making brown blocks for the RSC16 challenge

tiny button

I make 4 Drunkard’s path blocks using my GO die of course

all the blocks are made using the GO dies!

here’s my idea for it, maybe I’ll add more blocks to make it bigger or some sort of sashing, we’ll see at the end

this is the idea but the triangles are turned the other way instead

I was only able to make one winding ways block and totally messed up on the middle, so I might scrap this one.

and monkey wrench block, I actually realized that my blue one is slightly wrong in the middle…. sigh.

and here it’s spinning the other way, but I’ll keep going MY way instead Smile

and two log cabin blocks, one is all brown and one is half neutral.

But the blocks are kind of odd since I am not worrying about darks or lights.

3 snowball blocks and 9 patches

One cupcake block

I also had enough to do one Ohio star block at the end with neutral star tips

Then I pretty much only had teeny tiny scraps left so I didn’t get to make these blocks below… unless I cut into my yardage

I don’t think I’ll cut into my yardage YET! we’ll see at the end or if I feel motivated later….

  1. Holy Cow Bea that's a whole lot of different brown blocks, good going!!I need to decide on mine soon.

  2. So many beautiful blocks, and I'm in awe. I have so few brown scraps, but I have a feeling that after this month brown will be one of my favorites. Didn't know that brown was so beautiful.

Love seeing the layouts of different blocks and the colors. I have a lot of light browns – need to pick up some FQs of darker shades to get some variety.

Oh my! You have really been busy. I love all of your designs and blocks. I am looking forward to the end of the year to see how they all look together.

  5. Gosh, you even know how you are going to lay out the blocks! Looks like you have some fun scraps and are working on some fun blocks. I'm inspired!

It is nice to see the printout of the blocks and your interpretations of them. The fabrics make so much difference. Yours are really clever in using your scraps so well. Keep up the good work!.

Great blocks and so much progress. What impresses me most is that you have a plan for them. Too often I end up with block sets and no plan.
