Rose Colored Glasses Blog Hop

It’s time for a blog hop again!

Thanks to Carol at Just Let me Quilt for hosting this hop! (and many others!!)

I put my thinking cap on for this one and thought of PINK stuff ever since I signed up for the hop, nothing really said SUNGLASSES though, so I kept thinking.

As you may know I love using my Accuquilt QUBE sets and I love to design quilt patterns too, so I figured I’d “kill two birds with one stone” and write a pattern for the quilt for this hop!

So here’s my PINK quilt!

okay so it’s not all PINK, shoot me or hit me with that same stone. LOL

I named this quilt FLURRIES and have the pattern on sale this week for $8! It measures 42″ x 52 1/2″

All the fabrics are by Michael Miller Fabrics

To me it looked like snowflakes 🙂 and I used my 6″ QUBE set for it, but with my patterns I also include a chart for other QUBE sets and of course rotary cutting for the main size.

In this quilt it’s hard to figure out where the blocks begin and where they end, they are flurrying together!

For the backing I used this fun Chicken fabric from my spring bundle

Just for FUN I figured I’d mock it up in the summer fabrics I have for sale and offer it as a summer kit, summer flurries?!

The kit is on sale this week as well, normal price is $73, on sale for $52! (Sale ends Friday)

I hope you have HOPPED around to the other participants too this week, I know I will!

  1. I’d say that this lovely quilt qualified under the heading of pink for this hop. Great pattern design. Thanks for sharing it with us.

  2. This looks like a beautiful and rosy flurry of snowflakes…love it! Changing up the fabrics gives it a whole differently look. Great quilt, Bea!

  3. Both colorways are lovely, though I really like that red, white, and blue version best. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Sharon Vrooman

I think it is just enough touch of pink to fit the HOP. Very pretty and I just love the backing fabric.
