I designed this in EQ6 and then bought some batiks at a quilt show in pinehurst NC, made the top and then decided it needed a flower in the corner and I made this bold big flower by sketching it out and laying paper pieces on top to see what it would look like, then hand appliqued it down and long arm quilted it, I changed thread colors to sort of match the blocks underneath.
