I finished the rainbow hunter star quilt!
The blocks were part of the RSC16 and I had most of them done already, but I think I added white and black, then I placed the blocks on the design wall and wanted to use this teal fabric for the border and it worked out that the teal/turquoise block was in the middle of the rows, so it worked out great!
Of course the hunter star blocks are made using the Accuquilt hunter star die!
I looked at the fabric and thought I’d do this lollipop design on the border to mimic the border fabric design
on the blocks I just did curves from corner to corner
and I have my embroidery machine working well again so I designed this in Embrilliance (the butterfly was a free file I had) and I combined it with text and curved the bottom to wrap around the butterfly.
and the backing was from Connecting threads and I also had enough to use it for the binding! –the green paisley on the left
I’ll either donate this quilt to my guild or keep it for a future donation
