I recently finished long arm quilting a military quilt for a customer.
The lady herself was retired from the military (I forgot her rank- but high up!)
She had made these blocks from old uniforms and added black around them.
I quilted a large circuit board pattern all over, it seemed to fit and I did it a big larger to prevent too many folds and buckling on the top, there was actually NO batting in between…
But instead a minky blanket on the back that I believe she had with her when she was deployed. Love the look of the back!
She also dropped off two tops to quilt that her mom had made
When she dropped off the quilt to be quilted she told my kids to wait and see the 3rd world’s ugliest dog for 2014- YODA! and it’s true, I had to google it and saw the picture later, but we got to meet this little guy

Don’t forget the thread rack giveaway I have going on this week, it ends soon!
Beautiful quilt Bea! Was it hard to quilt the Minky?
Oh I love how she used those uniforms!
That was a great way to use her old uniforms. Nicely done.
I loved the large circuit board pattern that you used for quilting!
