QUBE travel RR QAL block 3

Did you enjoy the flying geese last week? or get sick and tired of them?

Now it’s time for more triangles but different ones!

Here’s this week’s block

A triangle block

You’ll be using die #14 from the 6″ QUBE set!

There’s 4 sets of these rows with 3+3 reversed blocks.

and the colors are Black and white or A and B.

From each color cut (2) 3″ WOF strips and cut out 24 of #14 triangles- 12 + 12 reversed, I was using solids so it didn’t matter which way the fabric was on the die, but if you fan fold it ends up working out that half are opposite anyways.

Then sew together 12 sets of each.

This is a die I LOVE where the dog ears are cut off, so the fabric pieces match up perfectly!

don’t forget to press the seams OPEN!

 Here’s 12 of each

Now sew sets together of these low mountain blocks like this.

Now sets of 3, so there’s 4 of these!

And these are sewn to the top of the flying geese from last week.

The seams do line up with each other on every other geese unit so that’s a good place to pin! Mine weren’t perfectly flat, but I pinned and pressed into submission!! ha ha

For rotary cutting it’s a 2 1/8″ x 4 5/16″ rectangle cut diagonally, now be careful sewing it together and make sure it’s 2″ x 3 1/2″ unfinished! (1 1/2″ x 3″ finished)or you can just cut rectangles that are that size or 2″ squares, that’s up to you.

HAVE FUN!
