This week’s block is kind of different, but still fun.
It uses shapes #5, 6,8,9
From white cut out 2 of the chisel #9 shape and pay attention to the direction of the chisel (if using a printed fabric!- if it’s a solid then the cutting doesn’t matter, then you just make sure to sew it together right)
Color A cut out 2 of shape #6
Color B cut out 8 of shape #5
Color C cut out 2 of shape #5 and 2 of shape #8
Here’s my fabrics being cut out
Then begin to sew the pieces together, paying attention to the direction of the chisel shape.
and finish 2 matching sets of the chisel block and the diamond in a square
and here’s the finished block.
(I tried to have the diamond fabric be opposite of each other in the block- you’ll notice the way the little X’s are pointing)
A fun and different block, but not hard to make
