Here’s block 42

sampler42

4 fabrics and 1 die!!

die #2

cut out 4 squares of each fabric (I did 3 plus white)

since I used white, I laid out the block and had the white be the center focus.

Lay it out with those 4 squares going diagonally then below that lay out 3 of another and save the last square for the top left. then lay out 2 of another, and lastly 1 of the last fabric and leftover 3 now go above the 4 white squares and then the leftover 2 squares and the 1 leftover from the beginning 3.

well just look at the picture Winking smile

and since I used two tuquoise fabrics and two whites (solid and print) I alternated the placements

If using directional fabrics, pay attention to the direction too!

I then sewed them all together 2 and 2, iron toward the dark fabric

DSCF8779

you could sew them into 4 patches or rows, I chose rows!

DSCF8784

then sewed two rows together

Then sew the block together like this!

This would look great in a big quilt as a scrap buster!?
