Purple and green kite quilt is done!

I recently finished this purple and green scrappy kite quilt!

It measures 32″ x 38″

I used the 6″ QUBE companion set

and cut out the kite and side triangles in scraps of purple and green and white kites and made this “spinner” blocks. They were inspired by someone on FB in the Accuquilt and Beyond group I believe.

I then sewed them into a 4×5 layout

and added borders

I long arm quilted “popcorn” all over it, alternating the placement on every other row.

The backing is a green care bear fabric that seemed to match and when Anja saw it she ran to get a care bear for it, so here’s the bear with it’s quilt!

It got to snuggle too!

I used a purple and green striped fabric for binding, I had JUST enough of it!

my tension got messed up on some rows of this, so I think I’ll just let Anja play with the quilt and give it to her care bears 🙂
