I finished my project for Island Batik early this month!
For this project I used the Wedge die from accuquilt
and these lovely fall fabrics from Island Batik
I sewed them into a table topper
Then I got out my fall medley die and ironed heat n bond on the back of scraps and cut out two pumpkins and 4 acorns
And I got Marjorie’s embroidery designs for this set too and I merged both a pumpkin and two acorns on my machine.
I embroidered two sets on opposite sides and off set to the side
Then I free motion quilted it in a variegated thread, I had fun adding bubbles, leaves and feathers all over it.
I used a fun stitch for adding binding
The table topper looks great on my table (sorry it’s a cell phone pic)
here’s a close up of the embroidery and quilting
Meanwhile my little helper was SO helpful and pulled my batiks off of the shelves and re-sorted them
and Swiffer is having fun with the kids and misc. boxes
Sonja pulled him around in this box and he actually purred
Meanwhile the weather is getting cooler and it’s so beautiful at night when going for a walk!
Cute project, did you make 2 different ones or is it just the cell phone that made it look pinkish?
Great shape for the project. It adds so much interest. Pretty colors. Adding some type of applique is such a finishing touch.
This is such a cute project!
Wow….sure lovely children. Kitty looks like hes in heaven. Glad you had some helpers!
A perfect project for Halloween and Fall! Love the batiks and your embroidery! Great helpers!
Too cute. Those fall colors screamed for acorns and pumpkins for sure!
