Prom night

I’ve been working on this ahhhh table topper and Tonya named it Prom night!

You can buy the paper pieces “kit’ here

It consists of different ahhhh sets (6 of 107 flower vase, and 6 of 46 Harlequin plsu 1 large hexagon and 6 half hexagons) all in ONE kit now!

Then I used a fabric bundle from Timeless Treasures that they sent me (THANK YOU!) called Imperial Garden Blue

I also added a teal/turquoise and a solid white.

Here’s a look at the TT fabrics (minus the panel- I used that for something else)

I figured out what part of the fabric I wanted to use for the hexagons and added a pin in the exact middle of the hexagon and then “poked” the fabric too on the spot and removed the pin after I glue basted it down.

You may think it’s a “waste” of nice fabric, but the result is worth it! 🙂

Once I had the main hexagons prepped I marked the template in the package with the ahhhh’s

the dark blue and gold fabric was tricky as the gold was printed on the front (which looks REALLY nice btw)

So from the front I put a pin thru the fabric where the curves intersected so I knew where to line up the paper on the back

again it took a while, but was WORTH it.

Here’s the pieces all prepped and glued together

Now since I came up with this design, I had bought all the individual ahhhh’s, so I put them back in their little pouches to keep together.

and then I started sewing them together.
