Priscilla scrap blocks

I still have more block ideas to show!

This time it’s Priscilla which is a rather new die by Accuquilt and I LOVE it, the pieces are tiny and fun, I actually have a top ready to quilt which I’ll show later

The block finishes 6″ so each quadrant is 3″ and those stripes are small and FUN!!

Here’s light blue and teal/turquoise, there’s some overlap here, the colors are very close on these blocks, that blue snowflake fabric was from my “winter” FQ club and it can really be read as a light blue or a turquoise, so…..

so far I have 7 blocks, I sort of have a rule, dark center, then medium 1st and 3rd stripe and maybe light as the 2nd stripe, plus a white-ish background almost to beige.

If I made a gazillion blocks and added a simple border it might look like this, a 6×8 layout plus borders would make it 42″ x 54″

What if I added some simple star blocks? I remember the Priscilla block I made, that those corners got BULKY! so I’d rather have a simple alternate block that doesn’t have seams in the corners.

Or I could make it simpler with just 6″ squares in either random colors or just black or whatever color I pick later

or a simple four patch

Which one do you like better? I think I like the random star blocks as alternate blocks, it’s just ALL SCRAPPY!!

  1. I agree with the star block alternate. I think it looks best, and there is that point about the corners not coming together. I really like your rule, and the blocks are gorgeous. This would make good FPP block sections and could be done as leader-enders over time. A great pattern!
