The blocks for Anitagoodesign’s prayer garden are DONE!- well embroidered at least
I still need to trim and sew the pieces together, and possibly COLOR them with copic markers. PLUS the blender pen, you’d get this cool watercolor effect! (I don’t have the markers but on my wish list, so you never know!)
Should I sew the blocks together first and then color? or leave them as is?

Some of the fabrics on the blocks are the same with the piece next to it, don’t know if I should
A. Leave it
B. Swap blocks around to avoid that or
C. Make new blocks
Meanwhile someone has been playing with mega blocks, in between stitching (times when the machine just runs I’d play a little with her or snuggle)
Here’s a GO! hexie project I’m working on, we’ll see if it turns out alright.
And another embroidery thing I did last night, I forgot I had bought the breakfast felt file from embroidershoppe
Here’s the beginning of two slices of BACON!
aren’t they funny?
Here’s egg, cheese and a tomato too, I’m going to wrap these up for Sonja for Christmas
Have any last minute gifts you’re making??
Merry Christmas to you!!
(if I don’t post before then)
Those embroideries a too pretty to put color on – leave them and let them shine.
The prayer garden blocks are lovely and I would say don't worry about the same color touching in spots. I taught Math Their Way in Kindergarten and 1st Grade for years. I made food items by cutting felt and gluing. Wish I had had these embroideries back then! Have a Merry Christmas.
Those are beautiful blocks, now you sew the sections together?? Sonja looks like she is having fun and that embroidered bacon and eggs….cute!
Ohh. Love the felt food file. Gosh that saves lots of time. Quilt blocks are lovely too.
Your embroidery is perfect! I love it. Sonja is so adorable! I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!xo jan
I wouldn't color them either. I like them just as they are. And for me..too much of the same color next to each other would bug me but I suggest laying the while thing out first and then deciding. A little of that might look great.
I love the bacon! So cute. I too have started the Anita Goodesign Prayer Garden. Someday I will finish it. My last minute gifts are I am doing machine embroidery on cardstock and making cards. Always something to create up to the last minute.Nancy
Such pretty embroideries! They are going to make such a lovely quilt :*)Hudson (2 years) got a "grill" for his birthday last month – If I did machine embroidery, I would make those breakfast foods for his grill.
Your prayer garden blocks are incredible! I'm sure I don't know how you get so much done with little ones under foot!?!
