It’s my turn for the Polar Bear blog hop!
For a long time I didn’t know what I wanted to make for this hop, then one day I got an idea about snowballs!
I quickly designed this in EQ
I got out my fabrics- a nice dotted grey fabric, then solid grey and white and 2 Accuquilt dies– the snowball die and the 2 1/2″ square die that’s from the 8″ QUBE set!
And quickly I cut everything out!
Â
After I made the top I quilted it with a neat design called “Pearl Swirl” by intelligent quilting
and I used the dotted fabric for both the backing and binding! The runner finished 22″ x 34″
I don’t have this as a pattern in my shop, but I have lots of other fun Accuquilt patterns (which always include rotary cutting instructions as well)
Here’s more of the bloggers participating in this fun hop and thanks to Joan for hosting it!!

Snowballs are a perfect quilt for this blog hop and I love the subtle colors you chose. I am usually for bright colors in quilts, but I do like neutrals when I see something I like and I really do like your snowball quilt, Bea. Thanks for sharing.
I love dotted fabric and it looks fabulous in your runner! You definitely know how to make the best use of those dies when making your projects. Thanks for sharing, Bea!
Thanks! I rarely make quilts without using Accuquilt dies now!

Connie
thanks, it makes you think of the cold and snowballs, right?
Love your runner…the colors remind me of the arctic circle in the winter once they start getting daylight. Thanks for playing in the Polar Bear Hop!

A super cute runner. You’re so lucky to have a longarm machine.
The quilting even reminds me a little of snowballs on a branch.

I love my Accuquilt GO BIG! machine and dies- of course it helps that I work for them too as a pattern designer 🙂
Snowballs are perfect for the hop and I really like your fabric choice.
I’m a total fan of polka dots so you had me from the start. Great design and choice of fabrics. It’s cold out there at -11 this morning!
