Playful paper piecing

Playful Paper Piecing

I finished the kitty block and turned it into a pincushion stuffed with crushed walnut shells.

I used the Sea salt sandy collection from Island Batik

and the kitty FPP pattern from quiltart

Here I added some blue pins for the eyes Smile

My 11yr old daughter picked out fabrics for a large version so I could make a pillow for her.

Janine from quiltart sent me the block in a 10” version to make this Smile

I added a zipper to the back

Here’s the two “pillows” together. Aren’t they fun??

Do you LOVE or “hate” FPP??

  1. I love to paper piece so I know how much work it is to create that adorable little kitty…sweet!

  2. Those are just too cute. Love the little button eyes on the pin cushion too!

these are so cute. I love to PP. Right now I am making place mats with a star war PP in each one. these are a little more difficult, especially the light sabers. LOL. challenging.quilting dash lady at comcast dot net
