Pinwheel Pop Quilt made with Michael Miller fabrics!

I can finally show my FIRST project as an ambassador for Michael Miller for 2020!

You may remember that I showed these 2 1/2″ Strip sets I got from Michael Miller, I got 4!

3 sets were from collections and some had matching yardage or bundles too in my box, but I was really drawn to the Garden pindot and the Jet Black set!

I also realized I didn’t have a pattern written for 2 1/2″ strips, so I started thinking…. and of course I always think about Accuquilt dies too to make the cutting faster!

So I came up with Pinwheels!

I named the pattern Pinwheel Pop!

I have it listed for 1.99!! It’s an easy and simple pattern, it’s just a LOT of pinwheels!! I recommend doing a few here and there 🙂

I cut everything including the binding (which can be made with strips from the black set)

Here’s all the bazillion pinwheels all made – yeah it’s THAT many! lol

I sewed them together randomly

and soon got a top like this!

and here it is all quilted! It measures 42″ x 57″

I quilted a large loopy meandering all over it.

For the back I used a green that was included in my box.

If you’d like the pattern, I have it listed for 1.99!

A fun quilt to make! can’t wait to dig into my other goodies! – my March project is almost done and I have more stuff planned too!

  1. Your Pinwheel Pop is so vibrant. And with such beautiful fabrics and the black, it’s just perfect. Congratulations on your first MM project.

Love this one Bea! I’ll have to check the strips on my die to see if this works with the cube set I have. Otherwise, I may need a smaller die as this is so perfect for strip sets and so stunning! I don’t know about you but I am a bit bothered by all the threads that are showing up since I am not working on as many batiks!
