Do you ever skim thru your old quilt books to find inspiration?
I did in October, I actually did it with several books and put some aside, this book is called “Bits and pieces” and it uses FQs and scraps. I had a few FQs I wanted to use, especially this white and pink print and then I had some other pinks leftover in my yardage but most were under 1/2yd or around that size so I cut out everything and used the white as the background.
I sewed everything together quickly as I forgot to take in-between pictures, but here’s the top all done, measuring 20 1/2″ x 20 1/2″
I quilted it in pink threads and the design is called hot cocoa and I made it really small to fit the quilt!
Here’s the back
I don’t know if I’ll sell it or let the girls play with it, it seems like a good doll/bear picnic quilt!
What a great use for those FQ’s languishing in our stashes!
Oh my gosh, what a beautiful mini quilt. And your freemotion quilting is stunning too!
