Do you remember how I cut out a KIT out of leftover fabrics to make a different version of my “Patriotic Stars” Pattern?
instead of the blocks being 12″ I used my 10″ QUBE set
and I didn’t have enough of all the fabrics to keep the background of the block the same, but I still cut away!
I was able to make 12 blocks, then found a burgundy/ dark red fabric that matched well and added that as sashing to make it bigger. Then it went in a bin and I kind of forgot about it…..
I brought it out recently and found that I had a bit of yardage of a beige dotted fabric from the line so I added an inner border and then more burgundy for an outer border and binding!
I long arm quilted it on my Juki using the same patriotic pantograph I’ve used before I think it’s called stars and circles maybe.
The quilt measures 42″ x 54″
The backing is all scrappy from different red, blue and beige fabrics!
It goes well with the Flag pincushion I got recently from my pincushion swap!
