patriotic quilt plan

I know I’ve been quiet for a while but I HAVE been busy quilting 🙂

just some are Shhh ! so don’t tell, I will have to wait a few more days to show what THAT is.

meanwhile, I worked on a bargello quilt, I’ve made this one pattern from “TWIST on bargello” many times, I decided to use some patriotic fabrics I had bought before july LAST year, so I figured I would use it now, but then when I sewed the blocks together I thought that the fabric being directional would not work with twists and turns, so I changed the layout, it was supposed to be 6 x 6 blocks but I’m doing 5 x 7, so only “wasted” one block. Might use that for the back or a label, who knows…

anyways this is the layout so far and close up of the block.

I also have no plans for this quilt so I guess I will donate it so then a lap quilt for a veteran or something like that would be good….. Either my guild- which has contacts to veterans or my church that goes to a nursing home once in a while. we’ll see, once I get a border on it too.
