I finished this cute scrappy patriotic red white and blue lap quilt recently
(and it’s in my etsy shop here)
It all started when my scrap bin of blue fabrics was about to explode!
I then needed an idea and thought of the Accuquilt pineapple die! (I really LOVE this die!)
Then I needed a contrast for it and had lots of small scraps of white.
ALSO while cutting I found this flag fabric and had just enough to cut out 12 center squares!
Then of course I had to incorporate more red and I decided to use the same red for all the corners to unify this more.
Here’s the blocks all sewn together
Then I added a 1″ finished white border and a blue 3″ outer border and red binding!
It ended up really cute I think
38″ x 48″
(How do you like my little Bee in the corner instead of the “beaquilter” ??)
I have it in my etsy shop here
This is so cute and I love the flag fabric in the center of each block! I love your little bee logo too! Do you like the Accuquilt cut pineapple block construction better than making a pineapple block using foundation paper piecing?
It looks great! Love the red corners. And I do like the bee!
