Owl purse and sorting buttons

My oldest daughter had to go to a birthday party sleepover last weekend, and the birthday girl liked mint green, so I made this owl purse for her and Solveig also picked an already made owl to go with it

The owl hipster purse is from embroidery garden here

and the stuffed owl is from doll and daydreams here

Sonja couldn’t go as she was still snotty (and it was more of a big girl party anyways- even though Solveig was one of the oldest)

So Sonja helped me sort buttons!

Since I started Anja on baby foods, the little gerber containers are perfect for buttons!!

  2. What a great idea to reuse the Gerber containers! And the little ones do love to sort buttons. The owl presents were undoubtedly a hit! Who wouldn't love those?

  3. Love your beautiful hand crafted Owl birthday gifts. Sonja is adorable and how fun to sort buttons. Great re-use of the baby Gerber containers.

  5. the owl purse is practical and pretty too, all little girls seem to love sorting buttons, can remember my two playing for hours with my collection and then Sal when she was young she is now 18 so it will be great grandchildren who will be playing with them next time! Hopefully not for a while though!
