Are you in the mood for Christmas yet? No??
remember when I showed that I dug out my precuts and planned quilts, well one jelly roll was a Christmas one!
The pattern was simple and it was fun to make, I played a bit with the block layout and came up with this
This is what it looks like sewed together (vertically)
I didn’t use all the sets of 4 sewn together because I reduced the blocks or wanted it smaller, I forget, then I trimmed the leftovers for borders and realized it would match, of course because I had a diagonal seam on the blocks so I added a simple inner border and fudged the rest!
I decided to quilt HUGE ornaments on it (about 10″ tall)!
and the binding is also black, now I have NO black yardage left at all!
Here’s the back, yeah those ornaments are BIG!
the backing was a mottled dark red that I actually had 3 yds of , so it worked out perfectly!
The quilt is 50″ x 58″
I have it listed for sale here
This is a fun and modern quilt for Christmas. I especially love your ornament quilting motif. So much fun!
thanks! it was fun but those ornaments are HUGE!
Gorgeous Christmas Quilt. So regal.
