nursing pad tutorial and more

This is nothing new, but I figured I’d show step by step a good way I found to make nursing pads 🙂

TMI??? lol

I used scraps for all of this.

I cut out 4 circles of fabric and 4 of cotton batting, using the Go! 5″ circle.

 Charm squares work great!

Then I folded each fabric circle in quarters to find the mid point

Then folded it just in half.

From the mid point I sewed a line down at an angle (how big you want it, is up to you)

I cut off the “waste”

Then laid the fabric on top of the batting circles and trimmed those down.

Then sandwiched it all together, with a fabric circle on top and on the bottom and two pieces of batting inbetween.

Pinned everything together

and did a simple zig zag all around.

(now I might have done the wedge thing to the batting too, but after you wash these the first time, they do they more pointy so I thought the seam on batting would add too much bulk)

I don’t think I’ve shown a picture of my other two kids, have I?

well here’s all 3 of them in the TV room.

“pint sized princess” fell asleep there too

I finished the woven stars quilt and did the binding last night

I quilted the same flower and leaf all over design as I did my customer’s quilt this week, this time I had the SLR on!

Oh, and I noticed the other day my daughter’s quilt again, how worn it is!

well loved!!
