Yup, I’m a bag lady now!
Though it’s not the first bag I’ve made
I made this bag using a pattern by Karen West, purchased at connecting threads, called Totally Awesome Tote bag.
I’ve made several of her mini totes in the past, but the big one was new to me.
I’m actually having a small group of ladies come over next week to get sewing lessons in making bags and I thought these two would be great to make. I already have samples of the small one
Here I embroidered a CAFÉ LATTE on the front pocket (should have kept iron on stabilizer on it, I used tear away instead)
I had this neat coffee cup fabric and matched up some beige, brown and blue fabrics.
I also had some beige coffee bean fabric that was perfect for the lining.
Now I intended on keeping this bag, but now that it’s made, I might just send it to my mom, she likes BIG bags, I like small bags, so maybe I should just make a small version with the same fabrics?
I’ll wait a bit I think….. we’ll see
And look who’s starting to look like Pebbles from Flintstones!?
Her bangs are starting to get into her eyes so I figured I’d make a small ponytail on top- now trying to train her to KEEP it there!

Sonja looks adorable with the pony tail, Bea! She's growing up so fast.
I LOVE designing my own bags and pockets.Think of them as buckets with handles and get creative.
I think bag making is a case of finding the right one to spark your interest … then you are away to go xx
Pebbles is just too cute! As is your bag. Couldn't have done a better theme than coffee! 😉
Sonja is adorable. I love watching her grow up.
Cute picture of Sonya! Your bag is adorable I love the coffee theme.
The tote is really cute. I haven't tried the bangs thing yet with Sunshine but I'm betting at her age she wouldn't like it.
Hi bag lady!!!
Cute bag! And the Pebbles look alike is cute too.I will say your Project list is smaller than mine and has more cross throughs as completed.First I need to stay home to accomplish anything
